View all problems as challenges.
Look upon negativities that arise as opportunities to learn and to grow.
Don't run from them, condemn yourself, or bury your burden in saintly silence.
You have a problem? Great.
More grist for the mill. Rejoice, dive in, and investigate.

((Fitz)) - as you know, I've been going through a bit of a family crisis myself, lately. I talked to another aunt (the other side of the family from where the medical crisis is) and she told me to stop going backward...stop thinking of how things would be different if I hadn't spent my time using drugs. She reminded me that I am a vital part of my family NOW and to hold on to that.
She's right. Bad stuff happens to people who are totally innocent. If it weren't for our recovery, we wouldn't be the people we are today...you helping out the homeless vets, me helping out the seniors. We can't undo what we did, we can't stop death and other things that hurt so very much. We CAN be there for the people we love, though, and that's just GOT to count for something, right?
And when things get really tough? We cling to the great folks here, and they always come through
Hugs and prayers,
Amy
