Just one of the many things I wouldnt be doing without sobriety.

Good day all I hope everyone can enjoy this sunday.

I thought I would share that I went and stopped at a hospice yesterday to visit a long timer in AA. I had never met him nor had my sponsor. But we were at a meeting and a his wife said what is happening. And since the hospice wasnt to far, my sponsor said hey "D' why dont we stop by and say hi.

So we did, and we got to met him and just say thank you and make him smile for a minute. And a couple others that were in this section. I am fairly sure he wouldnt remember use stoppin and talking but you never know. But I am sure that I will remember that , and truly be grateful for the men and woman before me in the great rooms of AA to give this oppurtunity to truly live without drinking. Not just put the bottle down..

Good love, Inda

Well just another nice day..

Our Browns beat the Steeler's wow. And made a nice batch of sauce for pasta today.

Now off to relax with popcorn and walking dead.

Good night and lets get ready for another great week of adventure..

I wouldn't be getting up early, reading the daily readings from AA so generously posted here in the 12-step area, and praying/meditating to God. That is a fact.

That was a nice thing you did yesterday. Old pp are so lonely and we will never really know how much it means to them for even a 'stranger' to spend a little time with them.

Have a great evening.

Every now and again I get the opportunity to work with addicts and alcoholics in the very early days of their sobriety. Many of them are doing detox's or only have a few weeks clean. It is one of the most humbling things I have ever done. It's like doing a Step 1 and a Step 12 at the same time and I am just grateful I have the opportunity to do it.
