Hello board.

My name is sylvain and I am 17 years old.
I am in between marijuana addiction and alcohol addiction.
In other words, I can let marijuana alone for a while if I have alcohol around, and vice and versa. When i have the two at the same time, then it is even better (worse). I feel higher when I mix it all up. Most people say they get sick when they drink and smoke at the same time, it is the opposite to me...and I'm affraid that's why I'll have a really hard time to clean up because my body really do'nt work like everybody's body. None of my smoking/drinking friends talk like that. :(

Welcome to SR Sylvain. I could always drink better than my friends and drinking and smoking together were never a problem either. Basically if it seems you have a talent for drinking then the likelihood is that it will become a problem. But I don't think that means it will be harder for you to clean up. There are lots of people who were very good at taking all sorts of drugs and alcohol together who have managed to get and stay sober. There's no reason why you can't too :) x

I can tell you, your body is not different. I smoked and drank daily till I was 39.


You can quit and have a joyful productive life. :)

I was like you too Sylvain.
My three vices - booze, pot and cigarettes - fed off each other for many years.
