Hi everyone. I am so glad I found this forum.
Little about myself.. I am 26 years old. I have been sober for 1 months and 3 days. This is not my first time. The longest I went was 100 days. When I reached that I figured I can have one drink and be fine. I was wrong. One turned into 2 then I went out of control again.
I want to keep myself sober this time. I am glad I found you all!

Hi Samantha! I'm glad you've realized at a young age that it isn't possible to control the amounts you drink. I wish I had - my life would've been so different.
Congratulations on your 1 month + 3 days. Good job!

Welcome Samantha!
I went back to drinking thinking I could control it, too. It just set me back on the same path. Good for you for saying "No more!" You found a great place for support - it's made all the difference for me!

Welcome Samantha!
It all seems ok after a while, until it's not again, right?!? Wow, I so relate to that.
Glad you are here and keep posting. Congrats on your sober time and keep stringing them together!

Welcome Samantha! Congratulations on your sober time, this is a great site. I have found more support from people on this forum than I have with close friends and family. I think it is because we all know that this is a one day (sometimes minute) at a time journey!!
Looking forward to seeing you on here.

Hi Samantha! I'm new too. Being a part of this community makes so much difference as I'm sure you can feel already. I bet having gone 100 days sober you have some helpful advice to share. Especially on what sort triggers undid all that great progress.
Looking forward to future posts

You will. It takes some time on the merry-go-round of I'm ok, now I'm not, oh, wait, I'm ok again, uh-oh now I'm worse, before you just decide it is time to get off the crazy ride. It's exhausting after a while. I just got tired of being sick and tired and fighting with myself all the time.
Soooooo much easier to face life without a raging internal battle. I say this a lot on here, but you just KNOW when it is time to fight for your life. And it is worth it. Not a cake walk, but so worth it.
