I gave my pie away
I gave my pie away
Went and got stuff for Thanksgiving including a pumpkin pie. Leaving the lot and there is a brother by the road, he is wheel chaired. I stopped and gave him my pie. I did not need it. This guy behind me is pissed and honking because I stopped traffic. I got out and gave him 5$ and said give it to the dude and stop traffic for 30 seconds and see what it is like.
I guess I want to say not everyone by the side of the road is just a lazy bum. Some have done a lot and times are hard and mental and phyical stuff are an issue. I would rather be kind and enable than be hard and disable. I have been saved more than once. Back to Amazing Grace. Oh and I kind of slowed and looked the guy stopped and gave my Bro the 5$ the guy behind honked got the finger I laughed my ass off.

My family gets honked at all the time when we stop to give people on the road something. We have learned to let it roll off our shoulders. 30 seconds isn't going to hurt the person behind us but it is going to help the person we are stopping to give something.
Thank you for going so kind
Thank you for going so kind
[I] did not pull over and walk over because it was a legless vet worth 30 seconds [I] thought if I I did it others might too. How are our lives so busy and important that we can't do a 30 second stop to someone who gave everything? More determined than ever to get out and help even if it stops traffic for 30 seconds.
I think it is the same where you are and all over this country as it is here where I live.
Tomorrow, what we fix and serve at our Rescue Mission will be not only the homeless,
but those that are just barely 'squeaking by.' There will be whole families with their
children, sitting next to a homeless person. And many of our homeless here, are VETS!
Some are physically disabled, and some are mentally impaired from PTSD and the like,
and many of our 'just squeaking by' are also VETS! For many years now, as I serve
their meal, I tell them a 'personal thank you' from me. I do it when I see a current
or retired vet at a store, in the mall, at the park, whatever I always say 'thank you.'
I personally did not serve, but I was a Military Wife for many years and I know what
our current soldiers and Vets have gone through. The least I can do is say 'thank you.'
So (((((Fitz))))) you did GREAT!!!!!! Thank you for your service!
Love and hugs,
