Day1

Ok day 1 of being sober, in bed with shaky hands, spent last year drinking more each day till i pass out.....worried about losing job, got done dui a month ago...so its day 1 & im going to do it this time

Welcome to SR and congrats on your decision and day 1. I remember the DT's I went through oh so well and I was lucky, I shoudl have gone to see a Doc, are you doing that and do you have support and a plan?

You have loads of support here.

Great decision! Welcome! Dont mess to much with withdrawal symmptoms though. I didnt think they were a big deal until i landed my butt in the hospital by ambulance...twice.
You can do it

No real plan except to try to get through the next few days cold turkey drining lots water vitamin B & LIVER TABLETS....I DON'T WANT TO GO TO A DOC IF I HELP IT :**

I can understand not wanting to go to a doctor. But withdrawal can be very very serious....so please dont hesitate to go if you need too!

Congrats! I lost my job and got a DUI from drinking. If you can, see a doctor and stay monitored on the DT's! Just think, they only get worse every time you quit. Best of luck to you! Welcome to SR, lots of great support here.

Glad you decided to get sober! Do be careful detoxing. We all know the first days aren't easy, but it gets better and better as you go. I lived on this forum the first week (probably wouldn't be sober today if I hadn't found this place).
