Paws. Dr gave valium scared!

I'm 1 month sober and still have nausea, foggy head and headache. Saw my dr today who gave me some valium.

I'm scared to take them as I don't want to start my withdrawals all over again. Will this happen?

Thank you for replying.

Hi Sadhu

If you're not sure about the treatment your Dr's prescribed, I think the best thing is to go back and talk with them - or get a second professional opinion from someone else.

We can't give you medical advice here.

When in doubt it is always a good idea to go to your doctor about concerns.

I am a recovering heroin addict and from my personal experience when I took a xanex or a valium for my anxiety it did not cause me to go into withdrawls because I wasn't addicted to xanex or valium. If I took heroin or pain killers, yes I would go into withdrawls.

I am not sure what your DOC and I can't say what or will not happen if you take the valium, all I can say is what has been my personal experience in my journey through addiction and time in recovery.

Please just consult your doctor,

Maylie

I got some about 6 months ago, A one month supply, I still have some left. I only have used under dire conditions. Trying to use something I heard about called self responsibility, what a new concept for me. But I echo the above.
