Speak About A Catch 22

Helllo all. Couln't find my glasses this norn and I am so near sighted I can't see them without them. Tore my sheets and blankets of then spent have an hour crawling around the loor until I came across them. I was in a panic because I could get nowhere without them. I kept telling myself I may have lost them not while drunk. But crawling around on the bedroom floor bliding reaching around it kind of felt like that. If anyone had seen me I'm sure there would have been an intervention. Back when I was rushed off to treatment sometime ago without my glasses I spent a month in a visual fog but I listened hard.

Hi, Fitz.

Glad to see you again here) Sometimes a visual fog is a great device to look at our imperfect world)

Hey, ((Fitz)) - how did the ER visit go? There are some of us who have been concerned about you: http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...ow-did-go.html

I don't wear prescription glasses, but have been known to desperately search for my reading glasses, all while totally sober/clean

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

It was not until I could see that I realized how blind I was

Oh boy did that bring back memories. I had a habit of not only losing track of where my glasses were, I would also mysteriously lose a lens somewhere from time to time. I didn't always find it and would have to get them remade.
I would have sworn at times that someone came in and hid them on me.

I also don't buy $600 dollar frames anymore (even if I could afford it now I wouldn't) because I somehow completely destroyed a couple of pairs. One of them was supposed to be made of some indestructible metal. I still managed to turn the darn things into a pretzel during one not so glorious binge.

I still misplace them but now it is in places that make some sort of sense.

I do but I slept in a different position knocked them off the bed. I always keep my laptop near me and put my phone and glasses on the keyboard but when I woke up my laptop was on the floor and glasses who knew where.

I am nearly blind without glasses and I had to call my neighbor to come over and find my glasses for me when I lost my glasses! But now I have backups to backups(Thank goodness Zenni Optical is an affordable option).
