Trying to get clean and sober
I'm 30 yrs old and been struggling with alcohol and cocaine addictions for 15 years. I know I need to quit, it's just hard. I don't know where to start. I had a lot of health issues because of drinking and my doctor told me I got to quit. Last year I was hospitalized for 10 days because of drinking and cocaine I messed up my pancreas and almost died. I quit drinking for three weeks after that before I started again. Just kinda confused on what to do.
Welcome!
Your doctor is always a good place to start as alcohol withdrawal can be quite dangerous.
YOu will find people have use many various methods after detox to stay sober. I have found sobriety and a happy useful life for the past 4+years through AA.
Many folks find that alcoholism is too hard to beat on their own and a recovery program is necessary.
Best wishes!

Welcome Ruben -
Glad you reached out today.... It's really hard to beat an addiction on our own and you've come to a great place for support. I think the important thing is getting all the support we can and focusing on taking the "next right step" towards getting better.
You can do this...... Have you done anything in the past - AA, treatment, or whatever? We all know how hard it is, but it gets easier/better as you go. Glad you're here!

Welcome. I stayed drunk for a long time until I finally admitted I was powerless over my addiction. I could not "fix" it alone. Make sure you are at that point and then reach out for help. SR is a good start and a great place to get support but you will probably need more then just us happy souls. Good luck and we are always here.
Welcome to SR Ruben
