Just one thing I must do daily to keep my sobriety.

Good morning SR friends and family..

Please think thru the drink during these stressful holiday times.

One exercise that I practice is to try for a full inventory of my blessings and then for a right acceptance of the many gifts that are mine--both temporal and spiritual. Here I try to achieve a state of joyful gratitude. When such a brand of gratitude is repeatedly affirmed and pondered, it can finally displace the natural tendency to congratulate myself on whatever progress I may have been enabled to make in some areas of living.

Everyone just keep going one day at a time

And keep living the dream and stay on the beam.

Good love, Inda.

I agree with this. I actually did have a drink free holiday last year, it was because I had to drive, and also I was on 3 - 4 months of not drinking. So this year I will enjoy, just because I have friends that really do care about me

Planning to exercise in the late afternoon. Can't drink before. Less likely to drink after.

I know in my area they are holding "alcathons"!!! meetings every hour on thanksgiving & throughout the whole night...I will gave a "plan" for exit if I feel uncomfortable or if my thoughts drift towards the thought of having a drink.

I am looking forward to a sober holiday & counting my blessings!

Alcathons are awesome

We have them in Cleveland also. I went one year and stayed all day. It was awesome. Lots of people coming and going , ate my first thanksgiving dinner sober in over 20 years there.

Like you said jstar Have a exit plan and use it is the most important thing I think in that big day.
