Here I go again...

My husband will be gone 2 years in December and I have been trying to make it easy for his family to have a relationship with our daughter but yet again they have left her out of almost everything.....grrrr...I may relapse this holiday season....or end up in jail...or maybe both...my heart breaks for my little one

I'm not really familiar with your backstory but getting drunk or ending up in jail is not going to help you're daughter Lola.

We can't make anyone else behave the way we want them to - sad but true...but you can be the best parent your daughter will ever have

stay strong...and lean on us, or other support if you think you need it

Thanks, I bent over backwards for these people just so my daughter could have a relationship with them and they continue to leave her out...their loss!

Hi Lola,

I am so sorry you are dealing with this, and I am sure the holidays are not easy. She is lucky to have such an amazing mom. Remember you are my sober sister. As a matter of fact, today should be Day 40 for you and that is pretty darn amazing!!!

Sending hugs.

AA taught me how to deal with what you are going through. Give it a try you might like it. AA is simply a design for living sober

I like your take on it. It's their loss. Take care. I am sorry you are going through this.

Lola, I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I can imagine that Christmas must be a difficult time for you. Since your husband's family ignores your daughter, maybe you and she can begin to create some memories and traditions of your own this Christmas.
