Introducing myself
Hello all, my name is Michelle. I'm a married mother of 2 boys. I found this forum because I'm tired of drinking so much. I'm at a six pack a day. I have to hide the beer cans so my husband won't know how much I'm drinking. My life is starting to spiral out of control. Just here to get advice and learn from you alls successes.

Welcome to SR. You've come to the right place; this is where my own personal spiral finally ended.
I know all about the secrecy. Obsession hovered over me, and no one could see it but me. By the end, I felt like a fraud just chatting with neighbors about the weather. That's one of many reasons I'm glad I quit. I thought life would be harder without alcohol—but it's so much easier now that I've reclaimed my sense of freedom and self-respect. You'll see. You're going to be so grateful you took this crucial first step!

Welcom LivingforMe. Your situation sounds very similar to mine. I am a married, mom to 3 boys and managed to keep the extent of my drinking pretty well hidden. But it was getting out of control and I was only lucky that nothing horrible happened that brought it all crashing down (it easily could have). I'm on day 15 today and this site is my main support. I'm able to be honest and open with people in very similar situations and that is making all the difference. Read and post as much as you need to, it helps.
