This isn't so bad

Hello everyone, I haven't posted in for a while so I thought that I would make an update.

Still sober! Seventy something days.. still a little wierded out about that considering I never thought I could go an HOUR without alcohol. haha, Ah well, it IS in fact possible.

I have a doctors appointment Monday afternoon and I'm pretty pumped about that. I was perscribed some medicine for and I'm too much of a sissy to take it because I looked up side effects for it. lol So hopefully he can figure something out.

I've been slowly pushing myself into social situations. I saw an old roommate who lived with me for around six months and NEVER saw me sober today. It was pretty encouraging. He's one of the few who love me no matter if I drink or not, but he was impressed. I dont think he believed the "rumors" about my sobriety. It was kinda awesome for me.

It was nice to talk without a beer constantly on my lips.

I'm not going to lie, I'm getting a little more agitated lately and I can't stand some people. Like, did I really tolerate them while I was drinking? Ugh. I don't know, i just dont want bull S in my life anymore.

Just kinda... Now i really don't know what to do. Staying sober isn't a struggle as much as it used to be.. so now I have a bunch of freetime... Which isn't good.

I workout alot and I absolutely LOVE it. Huge stress reliever.

I just don't know what more to do with myself... I need a change.

I'm just bored. lol and not ready to go out and join a "group" quite just yet.

getting there though! and you bet your bottom I'm going to be an AAer by the end of the year.

So many opportunities... that it makes me tired lol.

Oh well. Sober is totally worth it.

Just don't know what to do with myself! lol

Ps. You guys are awesome.

Thank you for your post! Those of us starting out really appreciate it I know what you mean about the not knowing what to do with yourself but it is awesome you are working so hard at sobriety. I've been to AA and its pretty cool, there are several meeting formats and all kinds of different people at the meetings in my area......I can say I have never regretted going to a meeting.....I actually need to get there more often!!! Hang in there and don't forget to update us!

If you already workout, maybe if you do it at a gym you can meet people there. Usually people that go are not drinkers, or hardcore I mean
