Hello
Hello to you.I am about 5 months clean now from a drug addiction.I quit on my own and am currently talking to a counselor once a week.I guess I am just trying to find people who maybe going through the same thing or who can relate in one way or another with me.I cant attend alot of the aa or na meetings as they are during the day and am just too tired at night to go to any.It may just be that I havent found the right meeting or dont think I really need to go,but I do know that I need something more than what I am getting now.I have been feeling so isolated and alone these days and even feel as though I might as well have just stayed using if this is all there is to it.If someone can help I would greatly appreciate it.I dont know if this is what I am supposed to be writing here but here it is anyway. Thanks to anyone who reads this.
Welcome to SR and grats on 5 months!! This place is great, so many supportive people who really "get it." There are different forums for newcomers, drug addiction, people who all quit the same month. There's a chat room. You can always find people around here because we're in all different time zones. So keep reading and keep posting and it's great to have you here!
Welcome to SR, ((easterniaguy)) and congratulations on 5 months! I had lurked here, for a loooong time and finally signed on at 6 months clean. I'm amazed at the support and encouragement, from people all over the world
Hugs and prayers,
Amy

Welcome, How many meetings have you been to? There is a ton in your area http://www.dubuqueaa.org/Files/Distr...20Schedule.pdf. If you are feeling isolated and alone get to know some people in recovery. There are a lot of AAers who go primarily for the fellowship
