I hate the end of the day. Then I get to go home and fight the demons. I hope all of you had a great Thursday. I hope at some point I will get sober for good. In the mean time I will keep plugging along. ONE DAY AT A TIME.

Diana,
I called it "clock-watching".
Would you go to an AA meeting?
That would be some company and fill those hours 'til closing time.
Also, have plenty of treats for yourself, a couple of magazines or a movie and some tasty snacks.
Did you ever hear of HALT?
Don't get Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired.

Been a long day for me, back at Day 1 in Chicago it's 4:30 and basically already dark. That's a tough time for me, would love to have a drink to lift my spirits but I know that's an illusion. Just got to fight through it I guess.
Hang in there perea!

Tonight instead of going home, I am going to a 24 hour gym. I don't finish until 10pm so there is really not much else I can do. Maybe try going to a movie. Flight is a great movie with Denzel Washington and he plays an alcoholic, it was a great lesson for me. Part of the reason tonight will be my first night sober.
A lot of people in my theater were alone. My friends thought I was weird for going alone, but whatever. It was totally worth it, the time actually flew by for me because I was enjoying it so much. I may go again to see it next monday!
