Living with other people, getting a small refrigerator when they weren't home, putting it in your closet, then getting a cat, so that you can use the cat litter box to dispose of the crushed cans that were wrapped in tissue or bubble paper, so that it doesn't make noise when you go to throw it out.

And if that wasn't enough room to hide the cans then do actual work like painting, so that you could use the paint can

If you thinks it's a good idea to call people that you have not spoke too for years and not remember what you have said....

...if you make it to the office for 9 o'clock and wonder why no one is there, then realize that you got there 9 at night.

Doesn't everyone do that? Get out of work. Buy a fifth, pour half in a pop glass for the way home. Warm, straight, cheap, vodka, through a straw. It just does not get any better

...if you carry leftover beers in your coat in public, take a trip to the restroom, and chug it in a stall when nobodies there...yep, done that before!! Craziness!

Definitely agree, but it is what it is, and sometimes you need to remember the stupidity of everything that you did.

if you go to great lengths to NOT create a paper trail of your alcohol consumption....even for yourself.

I did not and do not want to know how much money I spent on booze.

I know there have been a few other threads about this, but what I get out of all of this is why I want to stop. To see the insanity that I was going through.

All things listed above are in the pro column for why I want to stop, not in the "con" column. I need to relive my stupidity

When you start to beat the crap out of your neighbour for sleeping with your wife, and only slowly realize that he's in his bedroom with his wife.

I was also a cheap drunk. bought the cheapest beer I could. Cut down on driving, only needed to make my rounds to 3 - 4 liquor stores. Cut down on food. My drunk cost me about $50 - $60 per week
