One month: Done!

Done with drinking forever. One month down, never to relapse and never to drink again. How long before I quit counting? I figure six months and one year are good milestones and then I can throw away the calendar.

Took me 9 months (hit 10 in two days!) That being said, in 62 days it will be one year so I guess I'm still counting - I prefer to say keeping track!

Congratulations on your awesome accomplishment. Can't wait to read about 60 days!

Congratulations on your clean time

I stopped counting the days after about 6 months - now after 14 months I dont really think about how long I have been clean.

I would keep the calender you need to know what year it is

As for not drinking forever , I cant live in the future so I just wont drink today.

You can accept that since you only live in the present, the present is the only time during which you can choose to be sober. Is it the present now, or is it the future? Is it the future now? How about now? Choosing to never drink in the present, to always be sober in the present, is a good thing too.
