Happy Vets day to you Fitz, thank for making the sacrifices you have to our country, for protecting our freedom. I am sorry for the mental pain you have suffered as a result. Battle scars are not always viable. I wish more people were aware that just because you come back in one piece doesn't mean you're still "whole" on the inside. So many people who come back come back broken from what they witnessed. I wish I could take a magic wand and take away all the pain you've experienced as a result of your bravery. We are blessed to have people like you and other veterans. I dated a man in the Army for a very long time, I know how difficult it is not only on veterans but on friends and families as well. I appreciate the breve men and women who risk their lives, time with their families, their marriages and seeing their kids grow up in order to fight for this country. It takes a truly special kind of person to do that.
Well I went out and delivered some food such as it was. Cold and tired now. I reallly think service is a key to recovery. I am finishing a Pema Chodron book. Guys would laugh at me for humping books but not laugh for long. I will SR and watch something on the Net. I really hurt in this weather; Always my respect to all here.
Old habits. I have a bad tooth and was going to try and pull it and realized I could go to a dentist. 40 years later it is still like the old days. This guy today asked for a drink I said no but could come to a meeting with me. He freaked like he was front and center but we went and at the start like you do he actually introduced himself. I never heard him say ten words. At the end we grouped up and say something. I held his hand and felt I can not explain it.
Funny thing on the way back we stopped I bought 4 fmily pizzas and a ton of soft drrinks. i said pass them out he actualy saluted me. Dang I am just being a person acting as a human.
So one more funny thing I have been in a male support group and a number are like in outdoor work and they all carry super glue if they get cut up they just super glue them selves. America insurance policy for vets.
