Cold sober friday
Ken, I applaud you for staying sober through all the storm activity. It's very hard to resist the comraderie and drinking that extreme weather brings about. Especially with no power and your local bar across the street.
It's heartbreaking to see the pics and news of the devastation. I grew up in CT not far from NY and it's hard to imagine.
Fitz, very good point about the homeless never having power. Kind of puts it all into perspective.

Thanks FF. well my cold sober Friday has now become my very cold sober Saturday morning.
Sheesh..... Off to boil water for a morning bath. That will make me feel good.
I have not always been perfect with my drinking. But I am learning that circumstance must be put in its place or every circumstance will become a reason.
And yes... Extreme weather always was a trigger for me. When I lived in Maine when a big snow storm would arrive I would head to the bar. Play pool, feed the juke box and drink literally all day. Then head out to go home drunk in the storm.
But things have to change. And my awareness of this type of thing will be what helps me.
Plus this has been going on for almost two weeks now so it's easier to not feel that feeling.
