Day 4-always my hardest day, but not this time.

I'm starting day 4, the day that has always been my downfall, I've only made it past it a few times. I'm running late...just got the kids off to school and now I'm off to work...but I wanted to quick check in on the site. I have a plan in place to get through today and this site and all of you are a big part of it. I really feel different this time, feel like I can do it. I'll check in later...

Just do it a day at a time. Day 4 or 14 is a good day to be sober

((FMFT)) - Good for you on having a plan!! I do believe when we have decided to choose recovery, things that used to prove hard (like day 4 for you) don't seem nearly as hard.

Congratulations on 4 days, and can't wait to hear how your day went

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

Congratulations! Day 3-4 was always a tough one for me, so I know your struggle. Keep yourself busy and tell your AV off if it rears it's ugly head.

Thanks everyone! I made it home, drove right past that liquor store! Normally by the end of the work day I would have talked myself into believing it would be fine if I got a bottle (or 2 or 3) of wine, I would have had myself believing my problem isn't drinking, it's just drinking too much. I know that's not true and today I didn't allow myself to believe it. Thanks for all the support, it really helps. On the drive home, instead of thinking of drinking, I thought of checking in to say I did it.
