New here...

Hi there,

Glad to see there is an active online community!

First post here...thought it appropriate to introduce myself.

I'm Tiffanie, from Orange County, CA. 57 days sober today. Feeling great, happy and motivated!

Looking forward to getting to know the community.

Thanks! :-)

Hi Tiffanie. I used to live in OC myself. You didn't say if you were using AA/NA but they have a great community out there for either fellowship.

Hey twestlie, I don't come here very often now but I was here every day in the beginning and it is the best place to be. I'm not sure I'd be sitting here still sober after 4 years without SR.

Glad you're motivated and I'll offer up this one bit of advice - don't expect to be motivated all the time. In other words don't worry and beat yourself up if you find yourself struggling and feeling down about the sober journey on any given day. We all have that sometimes because we're all human. It's the down days that the One Day At A Time really comes into play. Just get past that day.

Hi Taking5. AA here. Yes, there is certainly no shortage of support here. So many meetings. I am lucky and grateful.

joinedintime - thank you. Yes, for the most part I have been feeling REALLY good. I know that there will be highs and lows, especially in early sobriety. It makes me embrace the good days even more so! I wasn't feeling so "giddy" today...good day but was feeling a bit impatient with my surroundings. I'm glad that I was aware of it so I could redirect my negative thoughts!

One day, one hour, one minute at a time... :-)
