so, im on day one, today.
im ever so thankful i joined here, been reading your stories, so inspiring,so sad, so elating,(is that a word? lol) and so supporting.
ive been hiding in my bedroom for 3 days now, cant face my hubby and kids after really messing up the other night, again,,
i posted yesterday and said"my kids and hubby hate me", i got a reply"they dont hate you, they just hate the drink", so true, normally, im a loving, helpful and caring mom/wife, but when i get the ole devil inside me, im a toally horrible person, yet i still do it ,day in day out.
this time "iwant " to say bye bye to it, not only "i need" to.
this is the difference i guess, i want to,
so heres to a none drinking friday, the first in god knows how many years, im hopeful, scared, yet weirdly excited and positive,

Good luck Cleo. Just try to remember that you cannot do this on your own. Great that you want to quit but you will need support and someone to turn to that you can be completely honest with.

Fridays are really rough. It sounds like you really want to start new...me too. I'm just saying, "I don't drink". I don't know anything other than it's helped me the last few days. I'm scared too. Just between you and me...here's to not drinking tonight. Cheers.
