1 month today, did a 5k

Celebrating 1 month without a drink today. Went down to my gym and ran/walk a 5k. Time not that great at 43:10 but felt good to accomplish it instead of sitting on the couch drinking a bottle of vodka and a bottle of wine. 7

Congratulations on your month. Congratulations on doing 5k too. I am trying to convince myself to join the local gym but have yet to fill out the forms lol.

Under, that's awesome! Way to go. Keep it up. It will get easier and you will keep improving

I am one year sober today. I started running, swimming, etc..in this past year. I have done a few races, triathlons even! Tomorrow I have a 5k.

I think I want to do a half Marathon next year...Crazy...All I never used to think about was drinking...now its excersice! Its cheaper than therapy!

Keep up the great work!

Way to go on the sobriety and the 5K! Running is my salvation. I'd never be able to do this sober thing if I weren't running and running and running.

Congrats. I too started to get back into running soon after quitting. My early 5k goal was simply "no ambulance"! LOL
Not drinking and running have both gotten easier!

Great job!! I am trying to transition from walking to running again. I signed up for a half marathon in January, I figure that I can walk/run it.

Keep up the great work!

Great job and grats =)
Running actually becomes addictive once your brain becomes used to getting runners high...it's a great feeling =)
keep it up!
I used to run 30 miles a week for over a year. Trust me, it's worth it staying with =)

Congratulations! I think running is great for depression when you quit.
