I can walk.... And think....

Wow, what a great morning! I woke my stepchildren for school & didn't stagger or get sick once!! Twenty-four hours sober, mastered!! Seven hours into my second day! I feel great and I'm AWAKE! I can only pray this excitement and willpower will last.
Thank you to everyone at Sober Recovery, for helping me get this far.

That's a mighty good attitude to have for your second day in. Remember to take it slow and easy.

Natom.

Well, now I'm so stinking tired, I can barely stand it!!! Maybe a pot or two of coffee will do the trick!

Jen, if you were a heavy drinker it will take a litle while to have steady or should I say constant energy and mood.

Expect a bit of rollercoaster riding, but it's far better then waking up feeling like death.

Hang it there it onle keeps getting better. Careful with the cofee, it's a nervous system activator

Congrats, Remember - HALTS (Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired, Sad) learn to recognize these things for what they are not that you want a drink

Best of luck to you. I completely understand the exhaustion as it just hits me out of nowhere and I have to sleep a bunch. I've been listening to people on here about resting my body. I was a decently heavy drinker (I think) so my body needs the recoup time. I keep thinking, don't expect too much and appreciate every day that you make it. Congrats on finding sobriety!!

You're doing well Jen, theres nothing like a positive attitude. But look after youself, be kind to yourself, don't do too much too soon, baby steps all the way. You'll probably have good days and not so good days and you'll probably have days where you feel so tired you think you've hit a brick wall. But it's worth it, life is worth living and it's so much better living it sober.
Keep reading and keep posting, the more support you get the better it is.
