Hurricane party?
Hey, everyone. Popping in from storm central along the Eastern shores. FreeFall, I'm a few states south of you and have spent the past few minutes watching the wind gusts blow siding off of my neighbor's house, good lawd! Large trees swaying hard and the worst forces are still a couple of hours away.
My house is over 100 years old and has been through much hard weather in its past, so I'm hoping the old buzzard still has it in her to stand strong for us. A few buckets and towels in the attic to catch the drips is the best I can do for now. Watching the nailbiter news on television is just freaking me out, so I'm thinking it's time to change the channel. Best wishes to everyone muscling through Hurricane Sandy. Be sober and safe.

i managed to start a small fire in the broiler so i opened the front kitchen window and back patio door to air out the smoke....some idiot is riding a jetski all over the Hudson....the storm is anow about 70 miles south of AC and should be here very soon. it is warm outside, about 50 degrees.
Being in a storm...? Hmmm... I have been in a few. Unfortunately it was only drug induced. This storm is natural. I can accept that.
Winds and rain are nothing compared.
And I still have a lot of beefaroini....

Power out ... The candles are cool. Wind howling.
Sleeping in the interior rooms. Have a good night all.
The storm will be here for a few more hours... Lol like 10 or 20.... Widows rattle too.

At least you still have your sense of humor. Hang in there Ken.
I guess I should explain my interest in this storm. I am originally from NH but no longer live there. I am a New Englander at heart though and always will be.
Oh and I dig your name. It's my hubby's as well. Call him Kenny though.....lol!!

I love Maine. I could actually be there in about 10 minutes from NH. Love York Beach, Portland, Bar Harbor, Boothbay Harbor, Bangor and many more. It's a great state. Can I ask if you still have your Maine accent? I have lost most of my Yankee accent as I haven't lived there since 1984.
Lol... I have no accent... Really. I am ambiguous... Lol. I do have some long A's.
I worked for l l bean a lot of years. I miss the looking people in the eye. But getting use to it all I guess.
Wow... The wind is strong. Sounds like a freight train.

I lived in Freeport and Portland. I had a professional drinking career at a few fisher mans bars.
Not proud but it is what it was.
I am happy to be here. I am not a fan of New York but it gave me sobriety. And that's a lot to give anyone.
