This morning a few simple words in a txt message have truly showed me how much better life is without alcohol in it. Over the last few years I have had some tumultuous times with my daughter's mother and her family, most of it while under the influence. I just wanted to share this and express how grateful I am to be sober today...

Me: Thank you very much for driving *my daughter* down here and for taking her to church, it is much appreciated!

Them: You're welcome. We enjoy having her. Thank you for being a good dad. *my daughter* loves you very much.

Those few words have filled me with hope that there are much better things to come in life, especially if I stay sober!

Love it!! You must have felt so good that there was such a positive response from them. Your daughter is lucky to have a dad who cares enough to get sober to enhance your family life.
