non AA based groups?

looking for non AA based recovery groups online? Are there any? I tried AA but found out that this is not for me. Anyone knows of alternate groups online. Thank you in advance. And please, no preaching or AA fans to tell me that I am wrong...

There's many different approaches and methods of recovery around Eve :)

Here's some of the main players - the list includes AA but there's lot of other links as well

I recommend you visit the Secular Connections forum if you think you may benefit from a non 12 step approach...you'll find a lot of discussion down there :)

Welcome Eve, there are lots of different people here

You have come to the right place, EveoftheFuture. There is a strong and growing group at SR of folks who have found sobriety through alternatives to 12 step programs.

Point yer google at 'AA alternatives', and you will find millions of entries. Many of them point to LifeRing, Secular Organizations for Sobriety, SMART (Self Management and Recovery Training) and AVRT. These are self empowering evidence based approaches and are gaining in popularity and acceptance. LifeRing, SoS and SMART have online support groups, while AVRT does not use them.

As Dee suggested, SR has a forum for non 12 step sobriety methods, the Secular Connections forum. Just as with all the other SR forums, you will find a lot of support there, and from people who see sobriety as you do. See you there.
