If Iron Man can do it so can I.

Iron Man quit drinking, and is a recovering alcoholic. So if a superhero can do it, why can't I?

Lmao...good point. Iron man is hardly a superhero tho, he's just a man with a fancy suit.

Onward!!

If super heros were drinkers what might that look like?

Aquaman swimming in circles?

Spiderman dangling?

Batman can't find his cave?

Wolverine cut himself?

Wonder Woman got picked up at the bar?

I prefer to keep them on the pedestal and me reaching for their hope.

Thepatman 10-25-2012 09:22 AM

LOL! Weasel LOL!

The only reason that I mention it is because Iron Man is actually an alcoholic, and so am I.

I found some inspiration and reflective value in the "Demon In a Bottle" issue and especially the cover when I was suffering through the first days about four months ago. Someone made the cover into an animated gif and gave Iron Man the shakes. Spooky but having cautionary value. (Apparently for the third movie they didn't want to incorporate too much of the alcoholism story arc.)

You most definitely can do it too!

Walking. I do know that. On both accounts. I happen to be one as well. Sorry if you thought the comment was disrespectful. I happen to have thought it was just lighthearted.

All I know is I never brought Wonder Woman home from the bar!

LOL!!!

I thought it was funny Weasel, I just did not want people to think I made up the Iron Man thing. I also have always wondered if that is why Robert Downey Jr. played the character as he had the same flaw. I would hate to see Thor drunk with that hammer.

Weasel1966 10-25-2012 09:45 AM

Thor was always my favorite! I like a lot of the mythological type characters. Isis was another.

I named my first cat Thor.

I think the Hulk has something going on behind all that rage... :p

Professor X is just reallllly into psychedelics.

When you said "Iron Man," I initially thought of Ozzy Osbourne. lol But then again, Ozzy was a drunk and he got sober. So whether you're talking about Robert Downey, Jr. or Ozzy, I figure if THEY can get and stay sober (especially Ozzy), so can we. :D
