Day 14......feeling like Im a vampire...if I don't feed I will die (vampire shows..my guilty pleasure). Im already dead inside I feel at times...so why push the physical part of me along...sigh. My head hurts and the ringing in my ears would drive anyone crazy!!! Doesn't matter Im not going to drink...i am bitchy and bitter about it...but that is one of many things I will deal with sober...dam life and its complications...boo!

HI, Lilgolden.

I can hear you, on my Day 9 I am quite indifferent to anything, though not angry or irritated. About your head and ringing in the ears, have you checked it with a doctor? I had something like this, it turned out to be low blood pressure.

Your physical part tries to straighten up after all this hard times with booze, so don't be too hard on it.

Hold on.

2 Weeks is pretty awsome for an accomplishment.

It might help feeling better making a list of positives. Ex: Your liver is doing a bit better, you save x amount of cash, you have gained some control of your life back, etc.

Sounds like a tough day. Maybe tomorrow will be better. I honestly believe the future possibilities are endless for us if we stay sober. Likewise, the future consequences are severe and certain if we don't. Let's stick with endless possibilities. Keep "keeping on" through these tough times so you can find out what tomorrow brings.

Boo to you too!

It does take time...one day at a time...you'll see days turn to weeks, weeks to months and this feeling will be behind you. Being patient is a real test at times. I still go through it at times...after 19 months...It can be a roller coaster ride...do you do meetings, talk to other alcoholics? It helps me...congratz on 2 weeks...you can do it!

Yep....the time of day thing is tough. Used to be my ride home from work for me.
In my case it helped if I ate something when I got home. Just didn't feel like pouring liquor over a full stomach. Maybe a walk, chore, nap or any change can help get through these "short-term" triggers. Good news is that if it is a time-of-day thing then the time shall soon pass and you'll be onto better things. : )

Hang in there, go for a walk or maybe some meditation/yoga. Kick boxing if you are really mad

Remember you are where I want to be in two days, we can do this!!!!!

You will live through early sobriety which is much better than dieing of alcoholism.

You are doing great. Pamper yourself with something you like. You deserve it!

Lola, two weeks is an excellent start and the pink cloud may be just around the corner. Everything in your body is balancing out and it's a lot for it to get used to-very normal to be feeling out of sorts. You have probably been numb for a long time-pretty soon your insides will wake up and start feeling again and things will improve-you won't feel dead inside anymore. Stay the course!!

Two weeks seems like an eternity from where I sit. I have one. I feel horrible. I have a ringing my ear too. I thought I would feel better than I do. I am Bitchy too. Really. I can't believe some of things I have said and felt. I'm not drunk but I sure am nutty. My head is killing me. I know how you feel. I will be watching for your post that tells us you feel good again!
