Today is day 60 for me.
Hey all, I just wanted to post and update in case anyone has followed my posts (Which I doubt). I am sitting here at work- which I got to early BTW!- on day 60!
I have had a hard but really good last 60 days. I have really gotten some traction in my life and feel like I am really on teh road to true recovery. I have been attending AA regularly. I try to make 3 meetings a week, but because of work I generally make 2 of those 3. I have gotten a sponsor. I also sat down and did my step 4 last night. I have really noticed myself getting a lot better both physically and mentally in the last 60 days. I have really leveled out my emotions and don't feel like I am constantly on edge.
I have really used AA and SR as tools to help me make sure I am not engaging in potentially dangerous behavior. Its nice to have a group or 2 of people that really don't care about what you have done and just root for you to be sober for sobriety's sake.
I know it helps sober people stay sober when they help other alcoholics and I am even getting to that point in my early recovery. I talked to a new guy at a meeting and i know it helped him, but it probably helped me more. Just telling him to make sure he got there wednesday cause I would see him there has made me make sure to clear Wednesday afternoon so I don't disappoint this fellow.
Well that was rambling, but thanks anyway! 60!

Hi Outdoors
Many congtatulations on day 60. That's fantastic1
Why don't you come and join is in 'the August class' and the 'one year and under' group. I'm in both of them and the support in them both is brilliant. The more support the better, for me anyway. I'd love to see you there.
