You're absolutely doing the right thing. It sounds like your husband is very threatened by you getting your act together because it highlights how screwed up he is. Rather than ask you how you did it and if you will share it with him, he wants to drag you down to his level so he can continue with his behavior. I venture to guess that he'd prefer to have you be even more screwed up than him so he can look better by comparison. No possible good can come out this.
