I am on day 5 and for the past 2 days my mouth has been unbearably dry. Is this normal for withdrawel? I have been drinking so much water and nothing helps. Its almost as though my mouth, tongue, taste buds, throat need a drink. This is one of the worst things I've experienced so far. Is this a craving?

I had the same, just keep drinking water, fruit juice with vitamine C (anti-oxide)
Your body is cleaning itself. Give it another 3-4 days and you mouth will be good as new. If not see your doctor ;-)

Thanks. Ive also found that sucking on throat lozenges, tic tacs, etc are helping too.

You can also drink gatorade or some other sports drink that will replace lost electrolytes. After another week or so, the dry mouth/dehydration thing should pass.

Your welcome, It's almost as if our cells where deprived of water for so long that re-hydration takes a while. And to eliminate all the accumulated toxins, it probably takes 2 molecules of water to clean one toxin cell.

But it's just my theory. LOL!

I realized that I was dehydrated from drinking wine. I was very thirsty when I quit - and within a few weeks noticed my skin and nails were so much healthier
