Finally! A diagnosis!

After being a little off my entire life I finally found a psychiatrist who figured me out. I'm bipolar! I always figured I was just anxious and sometimes slightly depressed but he is pretty certain I'm hynomanic/dysthymia. He is actually going to treat my dysthymia first to see if that makes the anxiety leave. He's not conserned about the hypnomania since it just makes me productive. Feels really good to have a doctor who understands the inner workings of my crazy head!

That's really good news that you can now do something to help yourself through this.

it sounds like just knowing, is even making you feel more positive. I'm so glad that you found help and can live your life, enjoy your baby and family/friends.

((Emhow)) - I'm glad you got the diagnosis. It has to have been hard, knowing something was "off" but not knowing what it is?

My mom had "heart problems" for years. To be honest, when we finally got a diagnosis, it wasn't good, but just knowing? That helped a lot.

Hugs and prayers,

Amy
