Scrambled Brains/ What are your hobbies?

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day/had a wonderful day.

Still sober. ()
One more pound until I've dropped 20 lbs!
Feeling bored with life though.. thinking of learning Spanish.

My brain is screaming for knowledge.. For something new.

Had terrible anxiety this weekend for some reason. (nowhere near as bad when I was drinking oddly enough) And I Actually went and got myself a beer had it in my hand.. and couldn't bring myself to drink it.. broke down crying.. went to sleep and am so so so grateful I didn't drink. Thank you God.

I'm becoming more and more confident in my sobriety. My world is so small right now though, it's hard not to feel lonely. sigh. My "best friend" told me that she doesn't know how to deal with my sobriety, but is happy for me.. she "guesses". Asked me to go to the town we would use together the most. Didn't text her back.

I suppose I'm just disapointed in most people these days. I'm very aware of the caliber of people i used to hang out with constantly.. and they aren't good.. and never want to get better.

Although this will be my first sober Halloween since I was a kid. I'm super pumped for that!

I hope you all are doing well, how was your weekends? OHH and also what hobbies do you guy have that keep you busy and not using? man i've been trying to ask you that forever but keep forgetting!

I can't play my guitar anymore due to a problem with my hand. But I still like to write songs and music. Also long walks around the woods with my pups. Computers.

Spanish sounds good!

Congrats on staying sober amongst opposition.
I started reading again...I was a bookworm as a kid but drinking & drugging took over for 20 yrs. I read The Hunger Games which peaked my interest. Lots of recovery books. Sci fi stuff. Christian books.
I started exercising again..maybe you could join a gym. Meet healthy people
Good luck.
Learning Spanish sounds awesome!!

My life felt pretty empty at first, too, probably because I hadn't developed it much during the time I was drinking.

Since I got sober, I've taken up knitting and jewelry making in addition to my art. I got active in a singing group, too. I'd love to do more gardening or like you, learn a language. So many things.....

At first, nothing sounded good - now I just wish I had more time to do it all!

Learning spanish sounds really fun I wondered about it back while I was drinking, maybe I'll get on it in the future. Congrats on dropping 20lbs I bet that feels awesome and great job putting down that beer!

My hobbies lately have been like a total change. I re-discovered my love of music, and currently I'm hooked on Tool. Watching movies and putting puzzles together grab my attention really well. Also joined a gym with a really good friend (that rarely drinks anymore). I can totally relate to the brain screaming for knowledge thing, so long spent drinking and in limbo on learning... it wants to be filled!

Funny I am thinking of Spanish again plus expanding my homeless delivery business. And I love walking that I do every day except last week. Tomorrow my crew will do our food delivery service about 5 miles and several hours. I guess a hobby and a life style.

Carried over from drinking/using:
I play PS3 games. Right now I'm playing FIFA13
I listen to music
I watch SURVIVOR live and on DVD (obsessed with this show)
I hike
I am awesome at jigsaw puzzles

New in sobriety:
I am learning the bass guitar
I ride my bicycle like a boss
I hang out at the community pool
I go to different record stores and search for rare cd's
I play with/care for my hamster
I latch hook
I sketch

I run as a hobby, but I could use something else too. Haven't found anything yet.

Fishing is my passion. I haven't taken the boat out yet since I stopped drinking though (seven days ago). It's going to be "different" that's for sure...

There's probably been more beer SPILLED on my boat than what has been DRUNK on 90% of every other boat out there...:rotfxko

Computer stuff, building and flying radio controlled airplanes (would still like to get a pilot's license), learning almost anything (especially math, science, WWI) from wikipedia mostly.
