Starting again..

I finally decided I can no longer physically or financially continue drinking. As much as I crave it, I have stopped.

This time I need a plan to deal with my depression and anxiety.

Just thought I'd throw it out there, last time I stopped was October two years ago and it lasted 14 months.

Good decision!

And, I think it's very important to deal with the depression and anxiety, along with stopping drinking.

Have you gone to AA meetings? That did the trick for me.

All the best.

I think you've made a great decision Toss

I agree with you and Anna too - dealing with depression and anxiety is just as important as dealing with sobriety.

Thanks for the support. I stopped over this weekend and have felt pretty good. It actually is a weight off my shoulders.

I have said it out loud to my wife, and she is always there for me. I have alot of activities that I can continue to do with my kids, so I will start there.

I will keep posting, SR really helped last time. It's nice to sleep well again.

It is like a weight off our shoulders! No more feeling like crap from a hangover. No more guilt for not having energy to play with our kids or be the best parents we can be.

The list can go on and on!

Welcome back!

That's great, Toss (welcome back)!

My anxiety and depression got SO much better after I stopped drinking. It can only improve things for you, too. Take it a day at a time and be good to yourself!
