New To This Site

Good Morning Everyone!
I'm Phoenix and I'm and addict. One year sober yesterday. I attended my first meeting yesterday and I stumbled on this site when looking through some NA stuff. I figured what's one more branch out to help keep me on the sober path.

Well done on your 1 year sober and welcome! I've only been using SR for a very short while but have found wonderful support and inspiration as i'm sure you will t.

Hey Phoenix!! Congratulations on one year sober. As others said, this is a great site. I've been on and off of it since 04. I just recently came back on it and it's still every bit as supportive as I remembered. Thank you all for being so kind and welcoming. Its support and strength like that, that really keeps me going. Especially when you cannot change the physical environment around you. It was hard to get to a year but I keep having to tell myself it's for the better. I have epilepsy and if I would have kept on the path I would have been on then I could have ended up the corpse I'm painting myself up as for Halloween. Minus the paint.

Congratulations on your sober year, Pheonix, that is a great achievement. It sounds like you did this without any sort of program - what worked for you?
