Interesting Reading. . . .
This article is very interesting. I wonder why the 'Recovery Industry' is soooo slow on the uptake, promotion, and use on these new medications ? Ummmm ! I wonder ? ? ?

Why the Resistance to Addiction Meds? | The Fix
That's a really interesting article Huey. I have always been against the trend to use meds for everything (funny for an alcoholic I know!) but it would be interesting to see if things like naltrexone could be used to prevent alcoholism... like instead of my dad getting his AA recovered friend to chat to me when I was 17 he could have dragged me off to the docs to put me on meds so that the psychological aspect of addiction never had a chance to take hold.... maybe that could have worked.
I think the more methods we have the better. It's good that people have options.
