Stopping really feels right for me
I tried to stop recently but let others get in my way. Had a few on the weekend but it just felt wrong. My anxiety hit, the alcohol just didn't feel right. I don't want to feel sick from guilt that I'm letting myself down again. I don't want to wake the next day and wonder what stupid stuff have I got up to again.
Finally I feel it, I'm letting myself down by drinking. Day 2 sober and I'm not letting go of those horrible feelings because they are exactly what I need not to go backwards.

I remember when I felt that toxic feeling. Everything stopped working. I didn't get the same high or the same buzz. I'd just become numb. You have to keep hold of those feelings but not dwell on them. Congratulations
