Never thought I could do this but..

I sit here..

-Completely sober
-Excited for life
-Strong
-15 lbs lighter

When I was back in my old apartment drunk alone with take out food cartons rotting all around me not even aware if it was day or night I never imagined that I could liven even ONE day sober.. hell, one HOUR...

and here I sit 31 days into my new lifestyle and I'm thinking.. jeez.. this is that "life" thing people kept telling me I was missing out on.

Oh and funny thing, I was always too drunk to go get my contacts for the past year and I have been going about my days without being able to see and today I got them and put them in... wow... the world is pretty spectacular.

I'm seeing things clearer.. in more ways than one.

Totally worth it... totally stinking worth it.

Thank you guys for being there when I needed it, I broke up with alcohol but I never could break up with you all.

God Bless.

Funny I just finally got my glasses fixed... I had been too drunk to get it done for about a year or so... Feels good to LIVE doesn't it?

That's awesome Ragamuffin! Immon day 31 also and I could've written your post, except I've only lost 10lbs! Congrats!

Erinleigh you will get to day 31, too, one day at a time.
