Lying about time after a slip
Thank you for all your responses. I realized after reading them all that it would be helpful if I were more specific about my therapist.
She meant my missed appointments due to my alcoholism, not my alcoholism itself.
My Pdoc, however, said that unless I stop drinking she can't help me, which makes total sense. She is trying to find the right balance in medication for issues that I have always had regarding anxiety, depression and emotional issues (which I drank to not feel anymore), and she can't properly sort it out when alcohol abuse is throwing things off as well.
When I had said "I just made up some excuse" in my original post, I meant made up an excuse why I missed yet another appointment from the slip the night before, when she thought I was sober.
Thanks again for all your help. I know honesty will put me back on track mentally & emotionally.
