My first name is Deb and Sam was the best kitty in the world. I felt that the power of Sam's love from above would get me out of hell...and it did

Copperfield - after Charles Dickens' "David Copperfield". I grew up watching the original 1935 movie and loved it and always felt some connection with the character David Copperfield.

I chose what my inner voice (Higher Power) was whispering in my ear when I realized I had a problem. Never thought much about it being too long, lol. Now I get a bunch of varied abbreviations from my SR family, including Faceit, fixit, and FIAFI

I was thinking of all the things I used to do before being an addict took over my life. Maybe one day I'll change it

What a cool thread. Well I want to be in the light, t he sunshine, not the darkness of alcohol.
Bloss, one of my dogs is also named Blossom! The other one is Bonnie.
Zee, my surname begins with a Z also. It's Slavic. Some of my friends call me Zee. In England some called me Zed. Here in Canada it can be zee or zed.

Wait a minute- wouldn't it make more sense if my name was "ptzerozero" as in .00?
D'oh! Add it to the list of things I didn't think through . .

I mentioned this in my first post but I'll repeat it here. It's the name of a book by Camus. Camus describes the plight of Sisyphus, cursed by the gods for all eternity to repeatedly roll an enormous rock to the top of a hill only to watch it immediately come crashing back down. Being chained to the burden of alcohol abuse was the same thing for me, just an endless cycle of futility, pain and shame. Sisyphus didn't have the option to walk away from his rock, but I do.

RobC is short for Robinson Crusoe. God spoke to me through that book and it got me sober. 420 because pot is my drug of choice.

"Oh, momma, could this really be the end,,,To be stuck inside of Mobile (or Manila) with the Memphis Blues again."

Picture Bob Weir doing a cover of the Dylan song, Jerry's chin tucked into his man boobs as he plucks away...Bob drawing out the "Oh, Momma" with his skeletal screech.
