Yes we do have the VA here which stands for Veteran's Administration with hospitals and help. They are a gov't entity with all the minuses of those including taking a year to rate things and many vets just give up. If there is a service connected disability the vet can go to the head of the line for care in a VA hospital. All vets can get ER service at no charge if they are near one or rated and use a different hospital. I did my one week in hospital detox at the regional VA hospital free of charges except for a tiny co-pay. Here is an example of direct vets helping vets like Fitz was doing except online. Fitz you might want to check this website out too, it is for vets with PTSD. It is run by a drear friend of mine Brian who also has PTSD and I am a member there as a helper but he won't know me by my name from here. Take a look:
