Hunger???

Hi, been having this weird thing happen to me since i stopped drinking basically if i leave it too long before eating i go in to this deep hole of depression anxiety drink keeps coming to mind i feel hopeless about the future and my sobriety. But hen as soon as i eat it vanishes! i read a few things about alcoholics being hypoglycaemic and these symptoms sound common of that, but just wondering whether its something that passes over time as my sobriety gets longer??

Hi Lion,
There is a helpful acronym for this in early recovery.
Don't let yourself get;
Hungry,
Angry,
Lonely,
Tired.
Very simply, H.A.L.T.
Do a quick check of these, and treat accordingly.
Very helpful, even further down the line.
Keep up the good work!

Alcoholol is made of sugar - we drink enough of it, we become addicted to it too. Calorie intake is very important in the early days. Just don't switch one addiction for another
