hi
Hello I'm new to this and just hope that I can find the strength to stop killing myself with alcohol. I read some of your threads and chatted to a couple of others already. Very frightened but also a sense of relief that I am able to admit how serious my drinking really is and how it damages my family.
Welcome, this is a great supportive community. Please keep posting and whatever method you choose for recovery, (there is alot of information on recovery methods on this site) best wishes, looking forward to reading more of your posts.

Thank you all so much for making me feel so welcome. I don't have medical support but my partner who is concerned about his drinking is trying to quit too. This site is very encouraging and supportive
welcome to the site. This is a very safe place to share what is going on with you, and ask people how they manage to not drink.
Do you have AA in your area? Going to AA meetings really helped me get and stay sober. It was also a very safe place, a place where I finally felt the relief of knowing I wasn't the only one going through this.
