WOW! Is this for real?
Hello SR.
So I decided to join SR again with a hangover last Friday and I just didnt feel like even getting out of bed. So on Saturday I said I need SR friends for help and I joined which was the 15, Sep. Well let me get to the point. Ok, Did not have one drink for a week. YaY!
I feel great and I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. 7 days and no drinking and I am beating this demon. So, let me tell you what has changed since last week........ I am alert, happier, exercising, talking to my family, not locked up in a room feeling guilty and SO much more. In one week I see a person that I have not seen for quite some time now and feel GREAT! I did catch a cold 2 days ago but..... I will take 10 colds over a hangover any day now. Have some trouble sleeping but it has been so much better. I ask myself daily since Tuesday so can I say I use to be a alcoholic? I answer myself NOWAY I am a alcoholic and I will not take that out of my head. Like I said in my first post I made a list of what drinking made me do and what makes me happy and I look at it and it is much help with all of you also. I don't want any of you to think since I have not posted in a week that I was not here. I most certainly am here everyday and I just feel once a week is a bigger accomplishment to talk about than every couple of days. Thats speaking for me only. I have been reading posts the whole week crying and also encouragement and what a impact it has done reading posts for me. So I am here and will continue to be here. Well, 7 days sober and I will post again in another 7 days. Thank you SR from my heart!

That's awesome......It does get better...Do whatever you have to do to hang on to it....In the Big Book they talk about cunning, baffling and powerful....I've seen that at work....Good for you!
