Weight loss! And thoughts on Day 8
Sugar fix that is awesome about the weight loss and about not drinking!
I've lost about 5 lbs in about three weeks. Another incentive to stay sober!
I've also changed my diet to mostly fish, nuts, lentils, and lots of fresh fruit and veggies. I'm actually even doing some cooking now! I feel good about putting healthy things into my body. I'm also drinking tons of water. My poor, chronically dehydrated body can't seem to get enough!
I've always liked healthy food, but when drinking, I either wouldn't eat, or I'd eat crap because when I'm hungover a fast food burger tastes better than a salad.
To those that have gained weight in sobriety, I would rather gain weight and be sober, if that's how it had to be.

And as for the weight loss.. weighed myself this evening and have put 4lbs on! Though I am full of fish and chips and several cups of Camomile tea!
Weighing myself weekly now
Well done you - and I agree. A dirty burger tastes fab when hungover and makes you feel better! Plus, who can be bothered faffing around preparing fresh food when all you want to do is sink some booze?!
Still I rise.

Super stoked for you, SF. You sound positive and full of energy. Way to go!
(yes to the once a week weigh in--many factors can affect a change in weight in a day--especially, for me, PMS :/ )

i lost 6lbs in a week, and i was only 8 stone so fairly difficult.
All i did was eat much less and eat healthily.
Small breakfast
small lunch
small dinner
snack on fruit
don't drink any sugary drinks, cut out butter milk and red meat if you can.
if you have the motivation go running! great fat burning
