Day 2!

It's been 7 months of hell. Today is day 2 (again.) Feeling good. Chewing gum like crazy!

Usually it's day 3 that gets me. Today is swell, hoping tomorrow will be too. Wish me luck.

Thanks for the welcomes

Active plans are to keep busy, reach out to friends (instead of closing myself in) and focus on my performance at work (being lucid and concentrated!).

My short-term goal and inspiration is to be on my best behavior for my best friend's wedding next month.

Be sure and do some reading and posting here...Look into some recovery programs to add to what you are doing...Ask some questions..You're making a good choice....Glad you're here Sam!

Withdrawal pains during day 3. Gotta push past the nightly urges. Sucks when it's physical and mental

It will soon be day 4! Day 3 was always my worst time too. Usually, I can sleep by the 4th. Keep it up!

Thanks, Jitterbugg! A successful day 3 (which was always the worst for me) makes for an easier Day 4. If I could stay strong yesterday, I can do it today.

Best of luck Sammie! I always find day 2 the worst to get through. Got through day 5 today and feeling a little better each day. xx

Welcome to the family! Whatever you do, don't drink and it will get better.
