Day 4

Last night, night 3, was physically tough. Insomnia until 4:00 am.

Watched MIB 3 whiched helped take mind off of my physical symptoms.

Eventually, I fell asleep for a few hours.

I've got a headache and feel jittery.

I've got awhile before work. I hope I can get a nap in.

2 more days before the meeting with a guy in recovery.

Thanks for this site.

GuyInKorea, hang in there. It's normal to be totally exhausted early on, and it lasts for awhile for some people. Take the naps as you can, take vitamins, go to bed earlier, go easy on yourself. It is a change for your body, and one for the better, but it has to adjust.

Day 4 for me too

I too am very tired, and for some reason, HUNGRY. My stomach feels bottomless. If I'm not actually eating, I feel like I want to be.

Hang in there, we can do this.

Hang in there. You can do this. The discomfort will go away, you'll begin to sleep soundly after awhile. Your doing a great job.

Guyinkorea, you are doing great. Life is strange. Sometimes the best, most important moments in life, feel horrible.

Drinking should never dominate your life. You should be able to take it or leave it. And if you can't do that easily, you need to leave it, and that may be hard, but worth it in the long run.

One interesting side-effect of not drinking is that I'm also not smoking cigarettes. I've been a pack of day smoker most of my life.

Because of my job, it's not possible to smoke during the day.

So, about 6 months ago, I only smoked at night when I drank. Since not drinking, my night time cigarette cravings are gone.

I can already breathe better.

Thanks for the support!
