I do not do meetings well

Went to one today and got jumpy. I think my first step is ADD. i think I need a group that does jumping jacks. I'm not kidding that much sitting through a whloe meeting is hard. Do other sober people get hyper?

Impatience is my middle name..... I have to work at it constantly. For example, when I'm sitting in traffic or waiting in line, I have to talk myself into being peaceful. Sometimes I just try to focus on being in the moment (the more I practice, the better I get at it) and sometimes, I try to look at the people around me with more compassion, like sending love to them in my mind.

Acceptance is the key, but you already know that. So maybe just look at those moments as an opportunity to practice.

I can relate. I remember feeling that way. Like I was going to jump out of my skin. The Big Book describes the untreated alcoholic as restless, irritable and discontent. Maybe give it some time, work the steps with a sponsor and you will find a new peace. I know I did. Best wishes

You can always leave for a few minutes if you need to. In my early AA days i'd be in and out like a fiddlers elbow. I'm sure you'll find things will improve when you get to know a few other members and relax into the meetings.

Same here - Called 'em the itchy-crawlies. Be patient though cause it does get better
