Exclamation Post acute withdrawal syndrome

Hi guys! Just needed some quick help.

I'm a 21 year old guy suffering from alcohol withdrawal. Although the most severe symptoms are subsiding. I'm having a grave issue with my short term memory! I can hardly remember what I've done two nights ago. This isn't something I'm used to having. Gaps in memory. It's very disturbing and unsettling. Is there any one here who regained their memory after alcohol withdrawal?

When I say memory loss I mean memory loss. It's pretty severe. Not knowing where I slept two days ago. Please help.

Can't give advice. I've been helped by ER. The brain and body can be under extreme stress. Get settled than get well. Its not fun but doable.

Not trying to minimize this at all, but I had this happen about 10 years ago. It turned out I was severely dehydrated and malnourished (I was on some crazy diet). Once I took supplements and started eating normal and got enough fluid, I got my brain back! That being said, perhaps you need more vitamins to help with depletion?

Hi Garrett - and welcome

I think if anything's affecting you and concerning you that much, you really need to seek professional medical advice.
